She serves as Executive Director of the St. Simons African American Heritage Coalition, where she leads community-centered programming and builds strategic partnerships to preserve culture and expand opportunity as well as a partner of Alston McDowell, LP, a strategy consulting firm.

With a background spanning federal service, corporate leadership, and entrepreneurship, Tanya brings a people-first approach to everything she does. She is a devoted mother and grandmother who values mentorship, community connection, and time with family.
