It’s time for you to make peace with food. Avoiding “Bad Foods” won’t fix your food cravings.
Most women, when dieting, will unknowingly cause their own food cravings by avoiding the foods they LOVE.
When you restrict the foods that you love, it simply heightens your focus on them and your desire for them. Instead start focusing on how to make peace with food, and learning to cope with your emotions.
The holidays are quickly approaching and for some that may be causing you to worry. Eating a meal and spending time with family and friends shouldn’t be stressful.

Cassie DeFeo is a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RDN/LDN) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). After completing her Master’s Degree in education and working in community based counseling programs, Cassie began to understand the importance of nutrition and wellness and its impact on mental health. At which time, she returned to school to obtain a BS in Nutrition and Food Science, going on to complete her RD through internship. This experience has allowed her the opportunity to work with a diverse group of people in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Cassie believes in a person centered, holistic approach when helping others with depression, anxiety, trauma and life’s challenges. In her free time, Cassie enjoys spending time with husband and pups, riding bikes, relaxing on the beach and of course anything that has to do with food.
