About
Donna Goodbread & Stacy Taylor
Donna Goodbread has lived in Brunswick. GA for over 51 years. She been in Healthcare ever since high school. GO PIRATES!!
She loves her husband AND best friend, Kip dearly, her 19 year old son, Andrew, her 27 year old Daughter, Kaitlyn and her Son In LOVE, Caleb. They have given us 2 precious grandkids (2 boys, Cody & Josiah). She loves her church family at First Baptist Brunswick, downtown and is very involved/active in her church.
Donna currently works for Affinis Hospice-Waycross, a nonprofit company, as the Community Care Liaison. Her goal: to teach and educate families/individuals about why Hospice is important and what benefits it has on starting services earlier than later. Teaching, educating, and making everyone aware of what Hospice is/does is her #1 goal. She is in many of the local nursing homes, assisted living facilities, personal home care’s and many Hospitals in the 11 surrounding counties. God has opened many doors for her to be a “ray of sunshine” for many folks. Her favorite is throwing fun birthday parties, and playing BINGO with the residents. The best times are just sitting with the residents, over snacks and soda’s, and taking time building relationships with them and the employees. She loves encouraging others in her work roll and her personal life.
Her favorite past times are: Reading, camping with family/friends (and their dog, Bailey) traveling with her husband, Kip, spending intentional time with friends, diving into the Bible and learning more and more about Jesus, and spoiling her precious grandchildren. God is good!
Stacy Taylor, the heart and soul behind Cakique, LLC, brings a unique blend of educational expertise and culinary passion to her artisanal pound cakes.
A tenured public school educator by day and a dedicated baker by night, Stacy’s journey in the kitchen began at her mother’s side, where she learned the art of baking as a child.
For years, Stacy’s cakes were the highlight of family gatherings and friendly get-togethers. Her pound cakes, lovingly crafted and given as gifts, became legendary among her circle of friends and colleagues. It was their encouragement that inspired Stacy to share her talent with a wider audience, leading to the birth of Cakique.
Stacy’s approach to baking is influenced by her love of history, often incorporating traditional recipes with a modern twist. Her creativity in the kitchen mirrors her innovative teaching methods, always seeking to engage and delight. When not in the classroom or the bakery, Stacy can be found enjoying live music events or exploring coastlines, drawing inspiration from the rhythm of music and the ebb and flow of the tides.
With Cakique, Stacy combines her educator’s precision, her mother’s time-honored techniques, and her own creative flair to produce pound cakes that are truly extraordinary. Each cake is a reflection of her dedication to quality, her joy in sharing, and her belief that the best things in life are made with love and care.
Experience the magic of Stacy’s baking – where every bundt tells a story and every bite is a lesson in pure indulgence.
